Submissions

The Makerere Law Journal invites submissions for publication.

Submissions may be papers, articles, comments, notes, reviews, book chapters or any other form of scholarship on any branch of law. Submissions that have a direct link to the jurisprudence of Uganda, the East African Community, or general international law are preferred to others. They may also be interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary, with a featured legal element.

Submissions are considered, reviewed and published on a rolling basis all year round, with the submissions published in a calendar month collectively forming an issue and the issues within a calendar year constituting a volume. As of August, 2021, the Journal is working on its twenty third volume.

Submitted works must not have already been published by/with another Journal. Works in anticipation of publication by/with another journal in the near future are equally ineligible for publication with us.
